The sun was bright as it bore down on me
I was sweating it out but not from the heat
How I got lost out here is best not say
It’s how some act when a debt’s left unpaid
And though I’m frying
I dare not return to the town
I know they’re just dying
To put me ten feet under the ground

I think to myself about my life back there
