Bells are singing to say the day is here Harry could’ve sworn he really only now just close his lids Maybe he did He’d been living a little rough since she had left And the daily reminder was all around him, that things weren’t as he planned And all he thinks is Oh no not this again Oh no not this again The sun's gonna rise tomorrow And this will never end He should have seen it coming, it’s true of course Hell has no fury, like a woman scorned Life has it’s lessons For every flower sent, a note returned He’d stopped reading them months ago, he knows how much he’d hurt The one he held so dear Oh no not this again Oh no not this again The sun's gonna rise tomorrow And this will never end The path that he has chosen Stares him in the face again

They would line up in twos as they stood patiently in line And I unlocked the door to start our day, I didn't mind That they'd be talking and laughing, not a care in their sight A mutual respect was found within that apple's first bite Now there is plenty of other foods I would rather choose But there is something about tradition that keeps you true After twenty years I've finally come around and I wouldn't have it any other way The kids watch me eat and I taste their smiles through that apple each and every day One apple a day is all takes to get me in the mood It's the first thing I get to start my day, nature's own food One crunchy bite, whets my appetite Now I'll make it through Whatever the kids can throw my way at school Now I know there is plenty of fruit that they could pick from But to them it's the apples that stay at number one And the doctor reassures me it cannot do me any old real harm The seeds that I accidentally swallow shouldn't cause alarm

I know some things are difficult, at times it’s like it’s tearing you apart When you don’t share what I feel, or what’s true within my heart But don’t leave with the uncertainty, only filled with doubt If you are not sure about us, then I’d like to know now I’ve been down this road before, and I would never have known Unless I’d heard it from someone else, I was only being led on So be brave and look at me, tell me where we really stand Are we building here on solid ground, or just sinking in the sand I would rather know the truth, don’t spare my feelings I would never hurt you, there’s no need in concealing How you feel about me, where you think this may be leading I would rather know the truth, what you are thinking You say you’ve had better days and you sure of where you stand But if you can’t make up your mind, you’ll have to find another man This aint no grand hotel to check in and out of as you please I’m not gonna beg you to stay, I’m not gonna get down on my knees

Can you please come around To my hang-out underground The mice are friendly And they keep the place clean We don't have to talk so very much It's just a way to stay in touch if you put your bags down And you're staying, then it's for keeps The doors you opened led you here I was content just to disappear Did you find here what you were looking for Twenty meters down from your basement floor? A secret passage you can't ignore The sun can't shine its rays Through these hidden waterways So if its shadows you need Come share this home with me You never know what treasures you'll find In a vintage sewer line It's preloved fashion Of a type you've never seen

Undercurrent 04:39
He never walks that side of the road One too many busted lips taught him that It’s a different world there, and all that he knows In time you learn not to ask why She sits there sipping her favourite tea She’s deep in plans with add-ons to the garden The line moves back and forth with what she wants and what she needs Just as long as who is doing it’s not the other sort And it's agreed At first it’s like a shock, it electrifies Realisation of what was in my mind I’m not that kind of person, so I wonder why Undercurrent’s doing well, that it’s still alive It’s still alive The weeds grow freely, you can easily lose count They creep in before you know they’re there Shapes and sizes all have their place And in the end, who really cares? A dirty look, a sideward glance, and tempers fly Thought comes alive from what’s in our minds Who needs to stir the pot, who would even try When the undercurrent’s doing well, it’s still alive It’s still alive

First Snow 02:03

The sun was bright as it bore down on me I was sweating it out but not from the heat How I got lost out here is best not say It’s how some act when a debt’s left unpaid And though I’m frying I dare not return to the town I know they’re just dying To put me ten feet under the ground I think to myself about my life back there Everyone wants a cut, they all want their share You can’t afford to play by the book And they’ll stick in the knife if you give them a look And though I am burning I dare not return to the town The tide may be turning But there’s no chance for me now I’m in the desert sands This is my home sweet home The sun finally gives at the end of the day But it’s no sign of relief, cause the cold comes again When the hunger comes, the mirages start And my reality starts to crumble apart And though I am starving I dare not return to the town I see life and me parting Sad that no one else is around

My Old Bomb 02:54
My old bomb and I have trips of which you could only dream We’ve been around this circuit now for years and years it seems I top her up with oil and she tops me up with hope We hug around the corners as her steering wheel I grope I wouldn’t be without her and she wouldn’t be with me Our love well it’s gone the mileage, we’re stable so you see I couldn’t see her stolen by some young hoodlum child We were burning up the highway well before they were alive Pedal to metal and foot to the gas Who knew it’d be love at first sight? Windshield is sharing our horizons And I think it’ll take quite some time I live on the backseat, who needs a house? A simple stop for petrol is all that I need now Got a roof for my head, holders for my cup When I think enough about it, I know that it’s enough But then one day it came to a stop A once strong engine let out a cough We were for life Don’t leave me alone Alone One strong kick in the wheels was all it really took I shook my head and cursed a lot and gave a dirty look We made up then started on that long and windy road You’re my old bomb and I love you more as every new day goes

I looked above and caught of glimpse Of that vibrant morning star We’d be seeing it soon in close up And it was my job to ensure we got that far Would we finally find some intelligent life At least more so than found on earth? Cause Mars had been the hope for a long time But all we found was dirt Her voice was gentle And she read my mind They all wanted us to stay But we were running out of time We took some samples We saw the sights With what we were going home to It was hard to say goodbye We blasted into orbit But I’m not looking toward the stars I saw her staring back at me I still hear her in my heart But I’m thinking maybe it’s for the best That’ll it’ll be a very long time That Control sends more of us back again And we open up the mines It's so hard to say goodbye...

Area 51 03:04
So we decided to go visit them They'd made the first step for us to be friends And what's the point in holding out to the end To return and say "Hello"? We built our very own rocket ship It had the thrusters needed to make the trip I'm so excited, I must admit To see the faraway blue dome But when we got there they wouldn't let us go They just locked us up inside some holding cell We tried to tell them about the ones we knew About the men who risked their lives to wish us well And so we're held in your Area 51 And nobody will tell us for how long I look around at those living here From different planets both far and near Not looking healthy, just looking full of fear The will to fight gone from their eyes Why did you seek us, why extend your hand? Was it all just a joke, is this what you planned? Is time so empty, did your life get so bland? Were you really down to the wire?

Factory Line 05:16
Well I finally made the job I was dead on time But he was staring at his watch through his narrowed eyes He was the owner of a quite stately home And he was proud to watch me clean his windows all on his own But as I made my way through the hallway My mouth fell open, I was amazed How could he hide a factory line in his backyard I didn’t know what to say But there was so much more than what met the eye I had to gather my thoughts, recover my mind There was a job to be done and the choice I made Was to make enquiries with the staff about their pay Cause the workers kept working on And the workers kept working on and on There were shelves upon shelves with ancient treats Like an antiques dealer with a set complete I looked out through the glass to the factory line Where the workers made the sweets, perfect in time But through it all I heard a disruption Machine guns barked and blew out my eardrums I ducked while lollies blew out like confetti Then I found out where it came from But a simple dispute between man and wife Had a way of causing some serious strife The home owner who seemed so posh and smart Had a serious problem with his other half But the workers kept working on And the workers kept working on and on The bullets ripped through some giant canisters That held the lollies packed before they could be shipped Cracking up like fireworks bursting apart But all the madman did was fire as he laughed I wondered what became of my paycheck The windows were clean but he destroyed them Maybe that was the least of my problems So I just stayed right down But when I finally got up, I was quite amazed That all was intact, not even a graze The sweets that stuck to me turned to mush And I realised I’d had quite enough But the workers keep working on And the workers keep working on and on The lollies all ended up on the ground The ammunition blown, they put their guns down The unfazed factory workers felt it was time To find a way get the lollies back, back to the line A conveyor stretched all the way From the factory line toward the bay A recovery work like no other In the lengths that they made I thought of asking for my payment But he hadn’t lowered his gun to the pavement His wife was reloading for a second round So I thought I’d take off back to town But the workers keep working on Yeah the workers keep working on Yeah the workers keep working on Yeah the workers keep working on
